Come to Bow Valley Provincial Park for Calgary District’s Spring Camp, Friday, June 2 to Sunday, June 4, 2017. At less than an hour away from Calgary, Bow Valley Provincial Park is the perfect setting for a great, low-key weekend.
Your host club, the Calgary Bobcats, has secured two adjacent group campsites, Owl AND Grouse, in Kananaskis this year, to accommodate as many JFW families as want to come. Both weekend camping and Saturday day trip options will be available.
The plan for the weekend is plain, simple fun. 2017’s theme is
Back to the Forest, and the Bobcats are slowing things down, simplifying both the schedule and the process. See below for a link to the Schedule.
- On Friday night, you’ll be able to choose between and sign up for a handful of large-group activities scheduled for Saturday afternoon, including a group hike, guided mountain biking, kite building for the younger kids, and more. Saturday activities start at 9:00 am. The rest of the time, we’ll focus on combined activities for all Wardens and family members to enjoy together.
- A special Saturday night red-shirt dinner is supplied, followed by some super cool evening entertainment … we know you won’t be disappointed!
Prior to the event, each Club will be contacted and asked to supply the names of a few volunteers for a combined first aid/security shift. This schedule will be circulated to attending Clubs well in advance of camp.
Campers will be grouped by Clubs unless otherwise specified or requested.
Registration for Spring Camp will be open from April 25 to May 11 on the AJFWA website. Stay tuned …and don’t miss this great warm-up for National Camp!
