It was a wonderful weekend and everyone who attended had a great time! We ate well (thanks to Merry Brotherston’s and Jim Ellison’s cooking), conversed, played card games and discussed some things which helped the Alumni see where we are going as a group - and how we are getting there.
We were very lucky to have Rondalene Schiebel bring her drums and everyone had a great time making some music!!
Kirt Bennett came out for the day and we had a very detailed discussion about Skills Challenge: its history, and what he hopes to see for Skills Challenge at this National Camp It should be an exciting event and we are very lucky to have someone as talented as Kirt leading this event! It will take quite a few volunteers running the stations to help bring Skills Challenge together, so keep this in mind if you like to see what is happening but do not want to participate.
The Alumni really enjoys getting together and relaxing and enjoying each others company. Summer Family Camp and Fire in the Sky are some of the events held by the Alumni.
This group is open to anyone who is over 18 and has been in JFW for a minimum of 3 years. Many of our members have dual memberships with JFW clubs where they volunteer and share their knowledge.
