Each edition of Tree Mail contains a wealth of information, stories, photos and more.
This is what Tree Mail could look like as a web log (blog) instead of a PDF attachment.
Pros:
- Articles can be posted as soon as they are submitted and vetted
- Content can be updated more often, resulting in increased regular readership and timelier postings
- Articles can be easily reposted on the JFW facebook page, twitter and website
- Rather than a massive newsletter attachment every month or two, a weekly "digest" with headlines linked to the articles could go out (thereby making it easier and less of an undertaking to read the JFW news!)
- Articles are "labelled" and archived for easy viewing later on
- It's more mobile-device-friendly (it displays well oin a small screen, whereas PDF attachments are a bit discouraging on a smart-phone)
- No nicely formatted printable version. This may be a downside for those who like to print off a copy or 10 of Tree Mail and pass it around at a club night

A lot of work goes into preparing each edition, and we try hard to make sure it reaches each family's inbox. It is hard to imagine getting along without this valuable newsletter, yet somehow a great many of our members are missing out. We aim to fix that, and here is one possibility.
